Oh my gosh, yes! And I love this!!! I, too, am a night owl ... always have been. Don't talk to me in the morning, and woe to the person who wakes me up before I'm ready ... I've even been told I once (long ago) threw an alarm clock across the room. But getting ready for bed at night is usually when my creative juices really start flowing. I finished the first draft of my first book in bed at night before going to sleep. If it was up to me, I'd sleep until 10 every morning and stay up into the wee hours writing. Alas, with two kids in two different schools that both start at 7:30 (what sadist came up with starting school that early?!?!) I am not able to follow my optimal schedule for the time being. But in the not too distant future my son will be getting his driver's license (yikes!), and I'll be much closer to my optimal writing schedule!
I'm so happy to hear from other night owls like myself. I've tried to change my habits so many times but it always fails. Yay for dreaming of days when our optimal schedules are possible again...

Love this! Yes, ever since my daughter was a baby, I have found the dark (for me, pre-dawn) hours the best time to write. I still do. She’s 25.
